Jeep Wheel Center Cap

Jeep Wheel Center Cap

My ProComp Alloy wheels came with thin plastic center caps, which proved to be a weak point, as one was stolen and another cracked due to the flimsy material. I decided to take matters into my own hands by 3D printing replacements for these caps. To give them an extra boost of personality, I plan to paint the JEEP letters in bold colors and surround them with a vibrant outline of Texas, making them stand out even more. They work perfectly fine otherwise. Update 10/24/17: I've updated the design, as I wanted the new center caps to be shorter and have a smoother surface. I also decided to give them a different color to match my unique style. If you print each piece with the pegs facing up for the center cap, you'll get a flawless finish in whatever color you choose. The photo shows a minor flaw in the black base, but that's just an issue with my printer. There's another exciting update coming soon, featuring a smooth surround around the center cap. Update 11/12/17: I've updated the design again to incorporate the shorter version and allow for a smooth finish on the center emblem in a different color. To achieve this, simply print the v3 pieces with the large side facing down, and the emblem with the pegs facing up. This will give you smooth surfaces in any colors you choose. I've standardized the attachment peg placement to make it easier to customize, and included a blank emblem so you can personalize your center caps to your heart's desire. All you need is the v3.stl file and one of the specific emblems. I'm printing with PetG on glass and getting incredibly smooth results.
