Jeep TJ Fog Light Adapter
thingiverse
I purchased a halo light set for my Jeep Wrangler TJ that included fog lights designed for a Wrangler JK. I wanted to use the fog lights to replace the stock fog lights mounted to the stock bumper of my TJ. This adapter accomplishes that. It provides vertical adjustment while maintaining horizontal alignment. The main adapter body is printed in PETG for durability. it includes a tab that engages with a hole in the stock bumper to prevent rotation. The fog light has a round boss on each side which engages in pockets provided in the adapter to secure the light and provide for vertical adjustment. The light boot is printed in TPU and is to improve the appearance of the light and to provide some extra protection. It is designed to snap over the front lens of the fog light. The use of TPU allows the boot to flex as required for alignment purposes. To assemble the fog light into the adapter, first insert a 5/16" x 1 hex head bolt into the hex pocket of the adapter. Use a large C-clamp or similar clamp to squeeze the top and bottom of the adapter. This will cause the sides of the adapter to widen slightly, allowing the light to be inserted into the adapter. When the clamp is removed, the adapter will spring back into shape and trap the light's bosses in the provided pockets, thus securing the light in the adapter.
