My Jeep lacked an integrated subwoofer, so I installed my own by cutting a hole in the center console bin. To conceal this modification, I designed a custom close-out panel. Initially, I considered removing the bin's lip but decided against it due to added effort. Instead, the close-out presses the bin down, necessitating spacers during reinstallation. The bin was secured with rivets that needed drilling out. To address the inaccessible interior, I utilized 10-24 x 0.75 screws, placed upside down. I showcased this process in a photo. There are two types of close-out panels: one features a 120VAC outlet and an accessory port, while the other is blank.
