Jeep JL Spare Tire Cover Camera Bezel
thingiverse
I'm not certain how long it will last, but I designed a bezel that I glued onto the center of an inexpensive spare tire cover for my Jeep JL, which features a reverse camera in its middle. The bezel is held in place by the cover on the camera. As you can see from the one picture, I started off with a yellow one on my first print just for a mock-up, located the center of the tire cover, used a pen to draw the hole to cut...and I cut it a little too big, so I had to reprint a new bezel anyway, and made the front rim a bit larger in diameter. I applied a very small amount of vinyl/plastic cement to the bezel where it meets the outside of the tire cover so it wouldn't ooze out and be visible, then added additional glue to the ring on the inside, sandwiching the cover, before weighing it down (using a roll of duct tape...just the right diameter). After that was dry, I spread a little more cement on the inside for good measure. Pictures of the cover installed were taken about five minutes after I put it on, so I'm sure the wrinkles will come out over time. NO WARRANTIES are given that it's going to hold up, so please don't try it with your favorite or expensive tire cover... The one I used was $10.
