This is a gear linkage bush for a Wrangler, suitable also for Cherokee, Liberty, etc. The dealership wanted $70 for one, taking two weeks to order it in! Who makes a critical car part out of subpar plastic? Online forums are abuzz with discussions on why this should have been recalled. The real fix is to drill out the pin and replace it with a nut and bolt, requiring disassembly of the selector arm - a big job if you don't have a hoist. My design surpasses the original as it features a handle/hole for a cable tie to secure it in position, preventing it from falling out on the freeway once worn. Print it with 100% infill (solid) since it's a bush and will wear down. This was modelled after the pin size of mine currently. Depending on the wear on the pin, you may need to ream out the hole with a file or drill if your pin isn't as worn as mine is. I've included two bushes: one push-through design I changed out after thinking about it failing and not wanting to take the risk; the other might help fit another car. bush_3 is the final design I went with. Print some and keep them in the glove box as spares to aid fellow owners broken down on the side of the road.
