Here's a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcOVbaeTldM Check out the group I created for my LED lights and other projects if you like my designs - join up and get notified when I post new ones. I've got plenty more logos in the works, so feel free to suggest ideas and I'll make them happen. This is an extruded LED Jeep emblem printed on my dual extruder machine. First, I took a JPEG of the Jeep emblem and imported it into Solidworks where I traced it out. Then, I created a 3D model by extruding and filleting the V shape, saving it as its own STL file for use with dual extrusion. Next, I designed a plate to surround the Jeep emblem, adding screw holes and saving that as its own STL file too. Finally, I created a shell to go around the plate and Jeep emblem, aligning screw holes so it can be securely attached to the plate. I printed the outer shell in standard black PLA on my Rep 2 machine. For the dual extrusion part, I used the same black PLA for the plate and Bendlay filament - you can check out the link below - because of its incredible transparency (91% of light passes through). To bring it all together, I hooked up an RGB LED strip around the inner shell and connected it to an IR receiver so it can be controlled with a remote.
