I wanted a model of our current car, but as there was no printable one available, I had to modify one I found on sketchup, by user "Studio MKS". Although it required a ton of work to get into a printable state, here it is. The car comes in several parts to allow for easier and more detailed printing: - The chassis, can be printed regularly. - Single seat, can be printed regularly, you need two. - Rear seat bank, can be printed regularly. - Steering wheel, which I recommend to rotate onto its flat back face. - Wheels, which I recommend to print laying flat with the rim facing up. You need four, obviously. The body comes in several versions: - Karo-full is the raw original and not very printable in smaller scale, but everything is correctly sized like in the real vehicle. - Karo-full SSO is the small-scale optimized version. It has some slight adjustments that allow details to be printed correctly. - Karo-full-noskylight_SSO is then self-explanatory, it has no roof window like our car. - The front and back versions are cut in two in the center and are supposed to be printed on their cut surfaces, so that the resolution of the body details can be improved. I recommend this version for printing and it is what you see in the photos. Since I collect tanks and other vehicle models in 1/72 scale, the SSO versions are optimized for this scale only and I can guarantee printablitly for nothing else. Proceed at your own risk if you want to print at a different scale. For the axles, I recommend using paperclip wire if you want your car to be able to roll like a toy car. Again, this is for 1/72 scale.
