JEEP CJ7 Headlight Adjuster
thingiverse
After decades of faithful service, the plastic headlight adjuster components on my '85 CJ7 finally reached their breaking point. I spent countless hours scouring the internet in search of replacement parts but all I could find were complete headlight assemblies. What I desperately needed were these small yet crucial plastic pieces. Thankfully, they fit and functioned flawlessly with the OEM adjuster bolts. However, to prepare them for use, I had to carefully drill out the rivets from the original adjusters, securing them in place using 4 or 5mm machine screws - though I'm not entirely sure of the exact size as I used random screws that were lying around. I opted to print my set at a moderate 50% infill, but 100% would likely have been an even better choice. UPDATE: It's now been five months and my custom-made headlight adjusters are still in pristine condition. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer Model: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1984 (This is simply the setting I prefer) Infill: A minimum of 50% - though a higher infill would probably have been even more effective.
