I crafted this for the peculiar gap left behind when my wife took out the spare tire from her 2016 JKU. It fits very snugly, so give those grooves a thorough cleaning before pushing it into place, starting with the bottom and then pressing down until the top clicks into position. I soldered a pair of super-bright LEDs onto the brake light wire from the tire bracket to replace the missing third brake light. This thing was designed using Tinkercad.
