The AX15 manual transmission is a reliable workhorse, but clutch replacement can be a real challenge! To remove the shifter, press down and twist that stubborn locking collar at its base - it's slick as silk and smothered in oil, making it difficult to grasp. I created this nifty tool to make collar removal a breeze. Attach it to a ¼” drive 6” extension bar and push down while twisting - what a time-saver! This tool also works like a charm when reinstalling the collar. If you don't feel like removing the center console, you can use this tool from underneath your Jeep to reach the collar. I designed mine with 40% infill and three shell walls. For optimal results, rotate the STL so that the drive hole is facing down - this way, you won't have to deal with any overhanging parts.
