Jedi Holocron Cube

A holocron, short for holographic chronicle, was an organic crystal-lattice device storing phenomenal quantities of data under tight guard by its gatekeeper. Holocrons served to hold information on force techniques and instruction manuals used by force users starting with the Sith and then the Jedi approximately three thousand years later. I crafted a small prop Jedi Holocron for a friend that takes about 10-15 hours to print. The side panels are designed to be glued together in sets of three, locking each inner half securely into place. Inside lies a 1"x1" space for small FX lighting, such as a few blue LEDs surrounding a CR2032 battery, as shown in the photos. I printed the inner two halves using transparent PETG filament at 225 degrees Celsius, while the outer side panels were printed with white ABS at 235 degrees Celsius.
