Jedi Energy Capsules
thingiverse
I just uploaded my Jedi food capsule, a custom creation made for my hubby's Star Wars cosplay since I couldn't find any suitable designs online. The dimensions of these capsules are precisely 57mm by 6mm, exactly matching those seen in the movies. Although the clip join isn't identical to the movie version due to my ongoing learning process in creating models, it won't be visible from the front side anyway. I recently made some adjustments to enhance the clip's sturdiness, as that was a weak point in the original design. The model will require supports for printing, but cleaning up any excess material is relatively easy using a scalpel. Printing these capsules with PLA at 0.1mm layers and 30% infill for added strength takes around 50 minutes on my printer (operating at 50mm/s), while producing eight capsules would take approximately six hours. If I print in ABS, I highly recommend printing one capsule at a time to ensure better layer bonding due to reduced cooling. For those interested in recreating this design, here are the print settings used: - Printer Brand: Prusa - Printer Model: Prusa Clone - Raft Usage: Doesn't Matter - Supports Required: Yes - Resolution: 0.1mm - Infill Percentage: 30% This model was designed using TinkerCad.
