This is a scan of one of my late mother's intricately crafted wooden carvings. I captured it with an Einscan S (Scanmaster Plus) scanner, which produced a precise digital image. The scan was then refined in Meshmixer to enhance its overall quality. Simplify 3D software helped me slice the design into thin layers. My Prusa Original i3 Mk2 printer brought this detailed carving to life using high-quality PLA filament. Printer Details: * Printer Brand: Prusa * Printer Model: Prusa Mk2 * Rafting Method: None * Support Material: Yes * Resolution: 0.05 mm * Infill Percentage: 20% Printing Notes: I opted for a reduced scale print, approximately one-third the original size, to maximize detail and minimize stepping artifacts. The 0.05 layer height in PLA ensured that every aspect of my mother's carving was preserved with precision. Post-Processing Details: Removing the support material from this intricate design proved to be an arduous task, one that highlights the need for soluble support materials in future prints.
