JCPC BMX pedal
thingiverse
The Jim Cielinski Plastic (JCPC) pedal is a BMX innovation by Odyssey, designed by George French of G-Sport. It's an improved plastic version of the famous Jim Cielencki pedal, admired worldwide for its grind capabilities. The JCPC is unique due to its two plastic halves surrounding a metal spindle acting as a bearing and screws that double as grip pins; replaced halves avoid full replacement costs. A flat design offers more grinding space and allows for added aluminum or steel pieces, even titanium for sparks. Tested at the skatepark, these pedals proved durable and resistant to breaking during grind sessions. The JCPC holds a patent under Odyssey's ownership. However, due to copyright, only an STL file is available for printing; purchase of original pedal sets is necessary for custom fitting. If someone asks you to print one, explain the reasons. They can buy replacements for about $7 from BMX shops found through a Google search for JCPC pedals. Inverse printing can help with bridging issues but reduces grip.
