Jba Fofi is the name given by the Baka tribespeople of the Congo to this creature. Literally meaning 'Giant Spider', it's a chilling thought that they might actually exist in our world today. According to tribespeople, these creatures can grow as large as five foot, just their body length, and are stealthy ambush predators. They catch prey by building massive webs between two trees on game trails, and have even been known to snare men in their deadly snares. It's a frightening prospect that sparks the imagination. As an explorer, I've heard tales of giant spiders from numerous prominent explorers, and an entire tribe of Congolian people live among them, taking necessary precautions to coexist. While some might dismiss these claims as mere legend, we now know that gorillas do exist, despite initial skepticism. Who's to say Jba Fofi doesn't exist too? With this thought in mind, I present my exotic entry: Jba Fofi, The Giant Spider of the Congo.
