This filament spool holder is designed to be easy to use. It rolls smoothly on bearings placed in a Y configuration. It's quick and easy to change the spool and it mounts on the printer top 2020 extrusion. To put this together you will need to print two of everything except for the hub screw and the hub nut. The hub adapters glue into the ends of the hub screw. I like SCIGRIP 16 because it is the best, but superglue is also excellent. You will need six 608zz bearings and a couple of screws and nuts for the bearing holders. Use the large size adapter when you have spools with a larger center hole. Here is a list of parts and hardware: 1. 608zz bearings, 6 in total 2. M3 x 25mm screws, 2 in total for the top hole of bearing holder 3. M3 x 20mm screws, 2 in total for the bottom hole of bearing holder 4. M3 nylock nuts, 4 to attach the bearing holder 5. M3 or M4 screws and extrusion nuts to mount it to 2020 extrusion. You can use 4 or 8 of each. UPDATE: 8/8/20 The first design needed some rework. I have now uploaded version 2. Mainly the hub has been redesigned to hold the "Quick Change Universal Spool Holder." I didn't do anything to remix the original part which I feel is an excellent design. I have included the original parts here for convenience. This will make changing the spools slightly longer to accomplish than the original design, but it should work much better. I went ahead and included the version 1 tapered hub if anyone wants to try it instead. Print two of the Hub v1.stl parts and one of the Hub Pin v1 parts and glue them together.
