Jawas are nomadic scavengers and traders who roam the desert planet of Tatooine in search of scrap metal and other valuable items to sell at their black market stalls. They live in large, sand-colored nomad vehicles that resemble giant trunks or containers on wheels, equipped with various tools and equipment for dismantling and salvaging machinery. These vehicles are known as sandcrawlers, which enable the Jawas to traverse the desert terrain with ease. In addition to their scavenging activities, Jawas also engage in trade, exchanging goods and services with other species such as moisture farmers, smugglers, and traders.
