Cancer is often just treated with chemotherapy and various radiations therapies that may get rid of the cancerous cells but often come with very dangerous side effects. Jaw and Mouth cancer often lead to the patient losing control of their tongue, mouth, and jaw. Patients who have difficulty moving their jaw or can’t move it at all are fed through a tube and will eventually lose their teeth since they are not being used. This design will help aid patients who have lost the ability to move their jaw to digest food as a result from chemotherapy. The side pieces will rest on top of the ears of the patient and will have various holes to accommodate various head sizes so that the chin piece will fit comfortably.This external mouthpiece will attach to some sort of headband which will allow the patient to comfortably position this on the jaw and help support the process of chewing and/or help replace areas that lack skin.*NOTE: PRINT PIECES SEPARATELY, DO NOT PRINT WITH THE FILE THAT SAYS ASSEMBLYGOOD.STL* Sizing has been based off of the creator's face and may not fit certain head shapes.
