JavaPresse Coffee Grinder Holder

I bought a JavaPress manual coffee grinder awhile ago and I started to have a lot of hand fatigue and sore wrist and finger joints trying to keep the barrel from turning while grinding beans. The stainless steel barrel can be very slippery so I thought, why not make a holder to take the stress out of my morning grind. After some trial and error, I came up with this and so far I'm pretty happy with it. Print Settings Printer: monoprice mini v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 Infill: 100% Notes: Print solid to maximize strength. Hex hole is for 1/4-20 jam nut. Post-Printing ============= I used a 1/4-20 jam nut. Its a tight fit so be careful pressing it in the hex indentation. Use a Popsicle stick between the press and the thumb screw to prevent marring the coffee grinder. It also helps keeps the grinder from slipping. In the base, I put in a circle of foam sheet for the same reason. Cut a 2x2 to 4" and attach to a base (in my case, a square of 1/2" plywood). Screw the top and bottom with a wood screw as shown. Clamp the base to a surface and grind away. May help to hold the top of the post to steady it while grinding if your clamp is small. Category: Kitchen & Dining
