Javanese Ganesha

thingiverse

Tenth or eleventh century BCE Javanese Ganesha now resides in Minneapolis Institute of Art's collection. From artsmia.org, this object's description reads: This classic tenth-century Javanese representation from Java island features Ganesha sitting upright on a double lotus base. He is stout and his feet are tightly clasped together, as he savors sweet treats from a bowl in his left hand. His headdress, made of braided locks, bears a protective crescent moon and skull ornament. His right hand holds a broken tusk, while his upper right hand grasps a rosary topped with a pomegranate symbolizing abundance. In his left hand, Ganesha displays a battle-axe used to counter evil forces. More information is available at https://collections.artsmia.org/art/81675/ganesha-indonesia. The model has been scaled up to 10cm for printing purposes; we have included both a high-resolution 200,000-face STL and a lower-resolution 50,000-face STL in the files.
