Jasond-Compatible Battery Holder Remixes and Additions
thingiverse
I spent ages scouring the market for a battery holder that could accommodate all my batteries, but every one I found was missing something crucial. I decided to adapt Jasond's modular design, but I wanted it to have a sleek, uniform look and be space-efficient for a large number of batteries. This is my revised version of several modules, designed to add extra batteries as well as a couple that were previously unexplored. All the modules are compatible with Jasond's versions (the AA holders and endcaps in my photos are not mine; the rest of the modules are brand new). All the bases for the larger batteries are 1mm thick; the coin battery holders are designed to be half-battery deep, complete with a curve to secure them firmly in place. No scaling is necessary, but I used very little clearance (.3-.5mm per battery) so if your printer isn't well-calibrated you may need to scale up slightly. To give you an idea of my printer's accuracy, I have a .1mm tolerance (for example, my 15mm holes print consistently at around 14.9/14.92mm as measured with a caliper). This design should be easy to print without supports; I used PLA at .2mm resolution "speed" Prusa profile, 10% infill.
