#JARGATE Mason Jar Handle
thingiverse
Designed to securely fasten onto standard-sized mason jars (typically 12-16 oz.) featuring a 70mm diameter opening. Though cutaways for the mouth area minimize contact with the plastic while drinking, it is still highly recommended to print using a food-safe material to ensure a safe user experience. A blue handle example was printed using Taulman T-glase, a substance approved by the FDA for direct food contact. To acquire this product, please visit my Etsy or Shapeways store for purchasing options. Position the object so that the handle is straight up and the jar is facing downward, just like the picture with different colored handles. The overhangs of the mouth cutaways and thumb groove on the handle require support to prevent failure during printing. Printing at 35%-40% infill with three perimeters yielded excellent results for me; however, you can experiment with various settings to find the perfect balance between structure and jar usage requirements. I've successfully printed this object using ABS, PLA, and T-glase materials without encountering any issues. Enjoy your drink!
