I drilled a hole in the top to accommodate cheap, rectangular hygrometers that can be easily sourced from eBay and Amazon. I'd like to give credit to Plinth for initially sharing their design. Unfortunately, the air tight seal is not maintained, requiring some type of gasket around the hygrometer as well as the threads where the glass meets the top.
