The goal of this project is to simplify the process of opening a jam jar, particularly for seniors who may find it difficult. A nut and bolt mechanism has been utilized in this design. The cone acts as the bolt while the cylinder functions as the nut. When you attach this setup to a jam jar lid and turn the cylinder, the cone's larger diameter compresses, securely holding the cap in place. Upon applying additional force, the energy is transferred to the cap, allowing for effortless opening of the jar.
