Japanese to US License Plate Converter
thingiverse
I bought a Toyota Hilux and had it imported from Japan. One thing I didn't expect was the license plate holes from Japan are different than those in the US (right hand drive? Sure. Turn signals on the right instead of the left? Why not...but license plates? Never). A converter is needed, so the US License plate can attached to the car with more than one screw. I looked online...and people are charging $20-50 for an adapter. What?!? GTFO! So I decided to design my own...it wasn't hard, just some trial and error on the spacing. If you decide to import a Japanese vehicle...I hope you find this useful (leave a message). Print 100% fill with either ABS or PETG (so it doesn't sag in the summer heat). Use M5 flat-head screws for mounting to the Japanese Vehicle, and use wood screws/self tapping for the US Plate. Enjoy!
