The 1/1800th Scale Takao Class Cruiser Model. Certain Components Are Not Proportionate. The Japanese Takao-class of Cruisers Paved the Way for the Mogami-class (Also Available). Four Of Them Were Constructed, While Three Were Submerged. They Were Equipped with More Torpedoes and Ten 8-inch Guns Arranged in a 5x2 Configuration. All Four Vessels Were Present at the Battle of Midway. They Suffered Significant Damage and Three of Them Were Sunk During the Battle of Leyte Gulf. The Lead Ship, Takao, Survived the Conflict but Was Sunk by the British in 1946. This Model Is Specifically Designed and Tested at a Scale of 1/1800th but Can Be Up-Scaled or Down-Scaled with Flexibility. Since It's Optimized for This Scale, Printing Larger Versions Will Result in A Lack of Detail Due to Inadequate Enlargement of the Gun Barrels and Mast. This Is Part of My Collection of WWII Warships; Stay Tuned for More to Come. If You Have a Specific Request, Send Me a Message and I'll Give It Priority. Update: May 9th '19 - The Masts Were Replaced and Gun Architecture Was Altered Along with the Adjustment of Bow Concavity and Addition of Details. Update: August 7th '19 - Boats and Anchor Chains Were Added While Adjustments Were Made for Enhanced Printability. This Model Has Been Tested Successfully Using PLA with a Layer Height of .1mm and Nozzle Diameter of .4mm.
