Japanese rope and ring puzzle
thingiverse
Goal: Get the ring from one side to the other. It seems impossible, but with some twisting and pulling, it works. Assembly: Cut 12 inches of a thin string (kite string works well) Feed the string into one of the small holes on the side of the base and glue it in with some superglue or a different strong, precise glue. Feed one of your colored side indicators through the string. Tie the knot by putting the string through the hole in the center and then pulling the string back towards you, basically wrapping around the circle WITHOUT going across the rod on the bottom. Next, you want to mirror what you did on the other side by moving your rope across the rod, putting it through the back of the circle, and bringing it to the small hole on the other side. Put the string through the ring. Feed the string through the second colored side indicator. Superglue the loose end of the string into the hole.
