Japanese Puzzle Box End Cover for screw
thingiverse
I really liked the original puzzle box, but I was constantly frustrated by the peg breaking off, forcing me to reprint some of the pieces multiple times. Frustration got the best of me and I ended up replacing it with a screw. This replacement model is for one file: JPBEndCoverMiddle. It features a pilot hole that makes it easy to use a small screw to replace the original plastic peg. Keep in mind, this is just a pilot hole, so your screw will need some plastic to grip securely. You can see that I glued the screw in place as well for added stability. The screw used is 3mm in diameter and 9mm long (including thread length). The screw head on the outside may not be the prettiest thing, but it's sturdy and won't break easily. Maybe someone could even remix this design with a screw head cover to make it look better?
