Japanese lantern - tōrō 灯籠 (simple LED)
thingiverse
I loved this original design but wanted a version into which I could insert a ready-made LED tealight (these, for example https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QBCT5L/ref=sbl_dpx_B06XCTP65H_0) I enlarged the original model parts and reshaped the base to accommodate the LED. I also enlarged the hole at the top of the frame so it could accept taller LED candlesticks too. The homemade LED components and compartments were removed. I glued the body/window frame assembly to the top but left it unconnected to the base. Even though there's a hole in the base you could use to operate the on/off switch I still wanted to be able to take the LED out to change batteries and also simplify turning on/off. TIP: I added some sand into acrylic paint to make a concrete textured effect when finishing. Then clear-coated over the finished product
