japanese lamellar armor scales type VII
thingiverse
This is a 3D model of Japanese lamellar armor scales known as kozane, based on a pattern provided by Anthony J. Bryant. According to his work, this style of scales dates back to the 12th-13th century. Note: These 3D-printed scales have not been tested for SCA combat yet. I originally designed them to create a silicon mold for resin casting the scales. Scale measurements are as follows: Length: 75 mm Width: 38 mm Height: 1-2 mm Hole diameter: 4 mm Update: I've added a 1 mm thick version of the kozane, reducing the thickness of the laced scales to a more reasonable amount. The original thickness would have been an excessive 8 mm.
