Japan Experience: Great Torii at Miyajima
thingiverse
While wandering through Japan, we stumbled upon the majestic Torii gate situated on Miyajima Island. We were immediately captivated by its stunning architecture and envisioned it as a picturesque centerpiece for my personal pond, so I crafted a meticulously detailed scale model. More information about this historical marvel can be found at: http://visit-miyajima-japan.com/en/assets/images/ootorii1.jpg Don't forget to show your appreciation before taking our designs! Best regards, Thomas www.3Daybreaker.blogspot.com Printing Tips and Instructions: A 25% infill with a 0.2mm layer height results in an excellent desktop model. Furthermore, scaling this design up to 200% yields impressive results. Newly updated files were released on April 29, 2015, due to an error in the main pillar hole positioning. Required Materials: - Qzuir: 4 pieces - Qdak: 4 pieces - Czuir: 2 pieces - Qspar: 4 pieces - All other components: 1 Some files include multiple objects. "Zuilen" is designed for printing pillars, featuring a raft to improve adhesion and will print in red. "Binten" comprises the large spar and roof support, which should also be printed in red. The "Black parts" contain the roof and pillar tops, best suited for printing in black. "Binthalf" is an alternative file where the spars are divided in half to achieve a more refined print. Please select either one according to your preference. Please note: The smaller size Cspar will not fit if you attempt to print it separately, so we advise using the version within Binten. After printing, some files may require minimal bonding with cyanic glue; be cautious during this process.
