Jansjo reading lampshade with diffuser

My wife uses an IKEA Jansjo light on her bedside table for reading, and it's a little too bright for that task. This dims the light to your preferred level and narrows the beam so the room stays nice and dark. Works great! Thanks to vertigo235 for sharing the editable file, and the great attachment mechanism. After breaking one of the clamps (be careful not to rough it up too much!) I tweaked the design to make the clamps thicker at the base, which should hopefully distribute the force during flexion a little bit. Other than that I narrowed the cone and added a snap-in diffuser. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: I3 MK3S Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 15% Filament: Atomic Filament PETG Black, White Notes: For a brighter light, you might try experimenting with more translucent materials for the diffuser. The Jansjo light gets warm and the attachment requires some flexibility, so PETG is a good material choice. Printed in white the lampshade allows some light to escape from the sides, or print in black to minimize light spillage. I usually print in 15-20% infill but you may want to vary this for the white shade depending on desired opacity. Diffusers should be printed solid, either adjust your top/bottom layer number to accommodate or print at 100% infill. The thinnest ones don't snap in very securely, but will stay put, and are held tight between the lens and shade once assembled so it does not matter too much.
