My wife relies on an IKEA Jansjo light for her bedside reading, but its brightness can be overwhelming. To address this issue, we've designed a dimming feature that adjusts the light to your desired level, while also narrowing the beam to maintain a dark room environment. The result is nothing short of excellent! Thanks are due to vertigo235 for sharing their editable file and contributing to the attachment mechanism's success. After experiencing a clamp breakage (a cautionary tale: handle with care!), we revised the design by thickening the clamps at their base, which should redistribute force during bending. Additionally, we narrowed the cone and incorporated a snap-in diffuser for improved functionality. Your feedback is welcome!
