This is my take on the strandbeest. The design is only for a single leg, I wanted to know how it worked. Looking up animations on internet is just not the same as having a working demonstrator. The dimensions of the strandbeest leg are copied from wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jansen%27s_linkage The 3d design is minimal, allowing fast printing. Use 3mm bolts to attach each segment (as seen on photo)
