Jans Cover Plate

Here's a Fancy Cover Plate for Ms. Jan. Ms. Jan needs a cover plate that stands out, so I designed one using OpenSCAD. The file is called "coverplate.scad" and it's the foundation of this project. To create the intricate pattern on the cover plate, I used Spiro app to design a custom spirograph pattern with a black background and a white pen. This design adds an extra layer of sophistication to the overall look. Next, I imported the Spiro app design into Inkscape and traced the bitmap image to convert it into a plain SVG file. This step is crucial because it allows me to save the design as a separate file that can be used in future projects. Finally, I imported the SVG file and the coverplate.stl file into Tinkercad, where I combined them to create a solid cover plate with a hole in the center. The result is a unique and eye-catching cover plate that's sure to impress Ms. Jan.
