Hello, I'm Sung Han Seul, your guide to this chilly village tour. Our village is nestled deep within the Arctic Circle, where temperatures are consistently frigid and residents rely heavily on thick clothing, hot packs, and other essential supplies to survive the harsh climate. Welcome to our cultural center and office, the heart of our cold village. On your right lies an igloo that serves as a cozy residence for our villagers. It looks surprisingly warm and inviting. Next to you is a karaoke room where residents unwind during their leisure time. You can also browse through our clothing store to experience the thick attire required to withstand these icy conditions. Nearby, restaurants serve up savory reindeer steaks that are a staple in our village. Take note of the five-star hotel catering specifically to tourists like yourself, offering a luxurious stay amidst this frozen landscape. Your first day has come to a close, and now it's time to look forward to tomorrow's adventures. Let me introduce you to some exciting attractions on our second day. This igloo offers an immersive experience for visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in the unique culture of our village. The next stop is an oil plant that fuels this entire community, providing vital energy for our daily lives. Be sure to visit the reindeer sledding market, where you can enjoy a thrilling ride on a sled pulled by these majestic creatures for just 3,000 won. Take a moment to admire Sunlight Middle School, the only educational facility in our town, and learn about the challenges of education in this remote Arctic region. Lastly, I'd like to introduce you to the Jang Bogo Science Station, a cutting-edge research center established by Korea to conduct scientific studies in this unforgiving yet breathtaking environment. Our village lies within the tundra area, characterized by low temperatures throughout the year, with brief periods of warmth during summer that allow grass and mosses to grow. The lush greenery on our side is a testament to the unique climate conditions here. As you gaze out before us, notice the tranquil river that flows gently from northwest to southeast, a rare sight in this frozen landscape. Global warming has led to an increase in river flow even in these cold regions, which is why we're taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint by turning off heaters on our tour bus. Instead, we'll provide you with a complimentary hot pack to keep you warm during the journey. We've also got two impressive bridges to show you - the Truss Bridge and Arch Bridge. The Truss Bridge relies on steel trusses to distribute loads, while the Arch Bridge is a stunning example of engineering, featuring an upper or lower structure in the shape of a bow, reminiscent of a rainbow. Our tour has come to an end for now, but we're excited to see you again tomorrow.
