Hello humans, dogs, spiders, and micro-organisms.   James Webb Space Telescope is perhaps the most marvelous achievement mankind has ever achieved. Perhaps our last great engineering achievement! My close friend and I are both very big Space nerds, and when his birthday came around I made him this wall decoration for his workshop. Knowing that next month we get to see glorious full-color photos of the lifeless abyss, I figured now would be a great time to release this for anyone to make!! It's a simple construction. Just like the real JWST, you will print 18 panels and one center.You will print it like this: 18 x JWST Panel6 x JWST Corner Outer6 x JWST Corner Inner1 x JWST CenterThe center is staged so that you can layer switch to get a nice little multi-color effect. I have uploaded a Gcode for you Prusa fam to save you some time. The rest of you suffer in silence. The color sequence I used (First down to last out) Silk Blue, Silk Red, Silk Gold, Matte BlackOnce you have all the parts printed, you start by laying them out on some foam board to size everything up. Then, using hot glue or some kind of strong adhesive, glue the center part down. When that's happy, start gluing the panels, try to make sure everything stays lined up while you do this. Now that all the panels are glued down, take a pen and mark about 3-4mm away from the panels on your foam board all the way around. Then cut, and glue your border on. I set up the mounts to work with either craft 20mm magnets or an adhesive strip. Or you can use whatever you want to hang it, it shouldn't weigh that much. I hope you all enjoy this as much as he did! You can scale it to any size you want, just mind the center has some small parts that may not scale down well. ***This file does NOT come with commercial rights.
