Jali panels scaled for 5e terrain
thingiverse
I designed these because I was searching for some jali / jaali carved stone effect screens for a game setting. All-purpose request to terrain designers out there: Middle Eastern, Indian, and Islamic architecture has some remarkably cool stuff that nobody is making mini-scale models of that I can find! Most of what's out there seems to be pretty much "rough hewn western-type castle stones" or "far eastern". We should correct this! There's a whole continent worth of architecture styles getting overlooked in the middle, and a couple other continents too... I found some things at other scales, but I'm enough of a noob at 3D printing that it was honestly easier for me to start from a PNG and scale it in Photoshop and then pull it vertically than it was to figure out how to accurately resize something that started at a larger scale. The only one I've gotten successful extrusion prints of so far is the 2" one; everything else has either hairballed or just not printed at all. I wonder if resin prints might work for the smaller scale ones, but haven't had a chance to test yet; likewise, haven't had a chance to test the lasercut pattern.
