JAKL Buffer Adapter
thingiverse
The PSA JAKL Buffer Adapter. Earlier this year, Palmetto State Armory released new designs for their monolithic bufferless AR style platform called, simply, the JAKL. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO or in .300 AAC Blackout. An associate of mine had purchased one of PSA's .300 AAC JAKL uppers with the intention of affixing it to his mil-spec lower receiver. However, due to some caliber of oversight, (pun intended) neglected to purchase the buffer adapter required for the build. We, at Platypus Project Solutions LLC, decided that we would design, prototype, and completely reverse engineer this adapter for unrestricted distribution to the able public. To affix this adapter to your mil-spec lower, all you will need is the buffer plug (included .stl), a 10-32x1in flat head screw, and the washer set sold by PSA. This design may be printed upright, or flat on the rear rail section, however I found more stable success in an upright orientation, at a negative Z value of around 3 to 4 millimeters to ensure a rock solid first layer. Use 4 or 5 walls, 0.4mm wide, and a Brim of 4 or 5 mm on both the supports and the model. This design is not intended for any functional purpose, other than the purpose intended by the original manufacturer. Neither Platypus Project Solutions nor Palmetto State Armory is responsible for any misuse, or damages that ensue due to misuse, of this design or any product of this design.
