Jake the dog
thingiverse
Jake the Dog leaps off the printer as he materializes in a vibrant burst of color thanks to my decision to print him with Ninjaflex. The flexibility he offers is unmistakable and justifies any blemishes I had initially anticipated. I went for bold paint job by printing the eyes and nose separately before simply pressing them into place, ensuring every detail shines brightly on this cuddly companion. His squishiness is his most endearing feature though, but that didn't come without a tradeoff: it exposed his back to be incredibly rough. Determined to achieve my vision of squishy perfection, I decided to go for it anyway and even scaled up my second version to 1.5 times the original size after considering smaller prints are ideal when working with supports. Since this is my first time using Ninjaflex with a printout from scratch and knowing it wasn't the simplest of experiences but also gave birth to new opportunities for artistic creation, so here I am: more empowered than ever in this never-ending quest. I designed him on Fusion 360 inspired by Cartoon Network's epic Adventure Time, an iconic animated show which catapults fans around the world with excitement every time the magical world comes alive.
