iMakr and MyMiniFactory.com have partnered with Holbrook Primary school in Suffolk as part of an educational initiative that aims to teach kids from primary schools how to design for 3D printing. Jake Parker, a seven-year-old student, is one of the young designers who took on the challenge. His project: a vibrant hummingbird, inspired by his love for nature. Parker used Sculptris to create the ball shape and then transformed it into different shapes, thoroughly enjoying the process. The final touches were added using Meshlab, where he painted the design with precision and care.
