Jaguar SS100

The SS Cars Ltd-built Jaguar SS100, a 2-seater British sports car, spanned production from 1936 to 1941. The name "Jaguar" was given due to the car's 3.5-litre model reaching speeds over 100 mph. It was also adopted for saloon cars beginning in 1936, with the entire lineup eventually bearing the moniker. After WWII, the company changed its name from "SS Cars Ltd" to "Jaguar" due to negative associations with the initials "SS."
