This model showcases a highly posable Jagdtiger, featuring a self-propelled gun built on the Pzkpfw VIb chassis. The development of the Jagdtiger commenced on February 21st, 1943, when discussion about equipping a heavy Sturmgeschütz with a massive 128mm cannon began. The goal was for the vehicle to serve dual purposes: providing support for infantry operations and eliminating enemy armored targets from distances of up to 3 km. Despite sacrificing speed for greater protection, the design emphasized exceptional off-road capabilities based on experience from the eastern front. A Pak 44 L/55 gun measuring 128mm was ultimately selected for the Jagdtiger project. Due to the cannon's significant size, a fixed superstructure became essential instead of a rotating turret. To accommodate this need, designers recommended lengthening the Tiger II chassis by 40 cm and approving the change. Product Features: * The DAZ Prop is comprised of one detailed component (dsf, duf/png), boasting 146,868 polygons. * The treads can move realistically with three pose dials located on the Body that allow movement in synchrony or individually on either side. * A range of movable hatches includes: - Left and right engine coverings + Driver compartment + Radar operator hatch * The primary cannon elevates vertically and moves up/down.
