sketchfab
The artifact in question is a diminutive adze crafted from nephrite, measuring an elongated sub-oval shape with flattened-convex cross-section and single-sided blade sharpening. The butt tapers to an asymmetric ovular form, while thin edges are blunted and diverge into an arcuate blade. A notable break on one side of the blade adds to its unique appearance. This adze is fashioned from a slender nephrite bar, showcasing a distinctive light green hue with prominent whitish veins. Dimensions: 108x48x10 mm. Originated in Transbaikalia during the Later Neolithic era, this artifact was discovered at Novaya Shishkovka and is now housed at The Museum of Buryat History in Ulan-Ude, Russia (inventory number: 20276/3).
