Jacuzzi Flexa Tower jet knob replacement
thingiverse
The Flexa Tower is a fantastic shower cubicle offering numerous features, including hydromassage jets, steam bath, and an impressive water cascade. Its 24 adjustable jets utilize round 'ring knobs' that allow users to customize the shape of the water jets. Unfortunately, these rings tend to split after a couple of years, possibly due to mineral buildup, resulting in insufficient grip on the nozzle. To solve this issue, print your own replacement part! This custom-designed component is easy to print and performs the same function as the original. However, it's not an exact duplicate, making it a great opportunity for users to get creative with their 3D printing skills. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.10 mm Infill: 100% Notes: Printed with transparent REAL PETG at 240°C nozzle temperature on a 30°C heated bed using 3DLAC. This print was created on an Ultimaker 2+ with a 0.4 mm nozzle, utilizing REAL PETG filament. It's essential to note that PLA might not be the best choice for this application due to potential high temperatures in the shower cubicle. ABS could also be a viable option. To achieve optimal results, use a nozzle temperature of 240°C and a heated bed temperature of 30°C (with 3D-LAC spray). To minimize threading when printing PETG, it's recommended to print multiple parts consecutively. Keep in mind that tolerances are tight, so ensure sufficient friction is achieved. Before printing the final version, create a test part to verify fit and adjust part sizes as needed. Post-Printing PETG can be stringy, but these parts are easy to clean up quickly using hot air or a knife. How I Designed This Measurements were obtained using digital calipers, which allowed me to sketch out the easiest-to-print shape in 123D Design. The STL file was then imported into Simplify3D, where it was used to create a print file. A test version was printed and adjustments were made to achieve the perfect friction. Finally, a final print file with four knobs that print consecutively was created using Simplify3D.
