A three-meter-tall bronze statue weighing one thousand one hundred kilograms was created by sculptor Jean Cardot in 1930. The statue is located on Place Pey Berland in Bordeaux, France, and was unveiled on November 12th, 2012, by Alain Jupé. Jacques Chaban Delmas, a prominent figure known as "Chaban," held various positions throughout his life including Compagnon de la Libération, Prime Minister, President of the National Assembly, and Mayor of Bordeaux for an impressive fifty years.
