Ensuring no metal contact, Jacking Oil Pumps (JOP) provide high pressure oil supply to strategic turbo generator journals and lift oil-filled shafts. This reduces static friction and bearing wear. Once the lubricating oil film forms between the shaft and bearings, JOP operation can cease; pressure is at 120 bars.
