This MAKERBOT contest-entry Jack o' Lantern project offers endless customization opportunities. Design your unique carving using 3DS MAX 7 and avoid floating pieces. Select the pumpkin model, choose 'boolean' under compound objects, and click your design to be cut out. Convert the pumpkin mesh to "editable poly" and reselect boolean with 'inside skin' for a hollow result. Since the bottom isn't flat, adjust the carving's positioning for display. Be green by reusing this printable pumpkin annually while enjoying traditional pumpkin pie.
