Jack-O'-Lantern
thingiverse
A spooky jack-o'-lantern for Halloween! The base, lid, and stem are distinct since I wanted to print the stem in a different color. I was able to join the stem and lid together for a single extrusion print too. My daughter came up with the idea of hanging a light from the lid, and we used adhesive magnets for this purpose. It works well and allows us flexibility in placing the light at the bottom or top. We prefer having it at the top since the space between the eyes generally blocks the intensity of the actual light, resulting in a better glowing effect. These designs could make for fun candy dishes too, as long as the candies are not too small. I've been wanting to create a jack-o'-lantern for over a year now. It was great fun finally putting this project together. The face design is how I always carved my pumpkins when I was a kid. Maybe I'll try some new designs too. It's certainly easier to "carve" in Fusion 360 than with a knife.
