The Coney Island Scan-A-Rama, a cutting-edge 3D portrait studio, made its public debut using ReconstructMe and an Xbox Kinect at the Danbury Makerfaire on June 8th, 2013. The event featured the unveiling of a new scanning rig, the Scan-O-Tron 3000, which produced outstanding results. Following this successful launch, plans are underway to open source the design and initiate a Kickstarter campaign for the Coney Island Scan-A-Rama.
